2022 ACC Baseball Tournament Schedule

GREENSBORO, NC (theACC.com) — Pairings and seasons have been set for the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Championship, which begins Tuesday at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Virginia Tech (40-11 overall, 19-9 ACC) has earned the No. 1 seed overall and will headline Pool A. The Hokies are ranked by North Carolina (34-19, 15-15) and 12th seeded Clemson (35-21, 13-16).

No. 2 Louisville (38-16-1, 18-11-1) is the top seed in Pool B, along with No. 7 Georgia Tech (33-21, 15-15) and No. 11 Pitt (27- 26). , 13-16).

No. 3 Miami (39-16, 20-10) is beaten in Pool C by No. 6 Wake Forest (39-16-1, 15-14-1) and No. 10 NC State (33-20, 14-15 ), while Pool D includes No. 4 Notre Dame (33-13, 16-11), No. 5 Virginia (38-15, 17-13) and No. 9 Florida State (32-22, 15-15).

Each team in the four pools will play a game against each of the other two opponents in their pool Tuesday through Friday (May 24-27). The top four teams in their respective pools advance to Saturday’s semifinals, with the winners playing in Sunday’s ACC Championship game.

If the teams are tied at the end of pool play, the team with the highest seeding in that pool advances.

Game times Tuesday through Friday are set at 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Saturday’s semi-finals are scheduled for 1pm and 5pm, while Sunday’s championship begins at 12pm.

The tournament begins Tuesday with No. 7 Georgia Tech vs. No. 11 Pitt at 11 a.m., followed by No. 6 Wake Forest vs. No. 10 NC State at 3 p.m. and No. 8 North Carolina vs. No. 12 Clemson at 7 p.m

No. 2 Louisville vs. No. 11 Pitt opens the day Wednesday at 11 a.m., followed by No. 5 Virginia vs. No. 9 Florida State at 3 p.m. and No. 3 Miami vs. NC State at 7 p.m

Georgia Tech and Louisville face off Thursday at 11 a.m., followed by No. 4 Notre Dame vs. Florida State at 3 p.m. and No. 1 Virginia Tech takes on Clemson at 7 p.m

The final day of pool play on Friday will kick off with Notre Dame vs. Virginia at 11:00, followed by Miami vs. Wake Forest at 3:00 p.m. and Virginia Tech vs. North Carolina in a nightcap at 7:00 p.m.

The four pool winners play at 1pm and 5pm on Saturday, with winners progressing to the ACC Championship game at 12pm on Sunday.

Regional sports networks from across the conference area and across the country will broadcast all 12 games Tuesday through Friday. Saturday’s semifinals will be televised live on ACC Network, while Sunday’s midday league game will be televised nationally by ESPN2. All games will also be available through ACC Network Extra.

Additionally, every game will be broadcast live on Sirius XM ACC radio channel 371.

Three ACC baseball teams are ranked in the top 10 in the nation in each of the six major polls. Virginia Tech ranks in the nation’s top three in each of the six, including a No. 2 on Perfect Game’s national rankings. USA TODAY’s Coaches’ Poll lists four ACC teams in the top 10 (#3 Virginia Tech, #6 Miami, #9 Louisville, and #10 Virginia).
