They say life emulates art, but this month art is life at the Utah Arts Festival June 23-26 in Library Square in downtown Salt Lake City. For four days, art (in all its forms) takes center stage – literally and figuratively.

With more than 170 artists and more than 200 performances across six stages, Library Square has something for everyone – and their inner artist. The four-day event is packed with performances, exhibitions and creative sessions. You can view the full Utah Arts Festival schedule online.

Here’s a little glimpse of what to expect.

From making your own paper origami cranes to creating graphic novels to enhancing your creative well-being, there’s a Utah Arts Festival workshop for every member of the family (kids can join, too). Choose from niche topics like memoir or food writing, or connect with like-minded people by attending a poetry open mic. Attend a pop-up book workshop for the kids to reveal their inner author and illustrator.
