Bears reveal tough non-conference schedule | Baylor

High-profile matchups against Gonzaga, Arkansas, Virginia and either UCLA or Illinois underscored the Baylor men’s non-conference basketball schedule released Tuesday.

The December 2 Baylor-Gonzaga game at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD is a replay of the 2021 national title game, which the Bears won 86-70. The matchup between the Bears and the Bulldogs features the only two teams to have ranked No. 1 nationally in each of the last three seasons.

The Bears will take to the streets for the first time as part of the Continental Tire Main Event, which will be held November 18-20 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Bears play 2019 national champions Virginia on November 18 before taking on Illinois or UCLA in game two on November 20.

Baylor plays Arkansas in the SEC/Big Challenge on Jan. 28 at the Ferrell Center.
