Chelsea vs Club America

Before heading to Florida, the Blues begin their US tour by taking on Club America, Mexico’s most successful club team, in Las Vegas.

Chelsea last met Mexico 13 years ago in Texas, when goals from Franco Di Santo and Florent Malouda sealed a 2-0 win.

Chelsea vs. Charlotte FC

Chelsea then travel to North Carolina to play Major League Soccer’s Charlotte FC at Bank of America Stadium.

The club previously played against Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2015, in front of over 60,000 spectators at the same stadium.

Chelsea have confirmed that kick-off times for both games will be set in due course but will definitely be evening games.

Chelsea vs Arsenal

Chelsea will face rivals Arsenal on July 23, 2022 in a game to be played at Camping World Stadium in Florida.

Both teams will compete to win what is known as the “Florida Cup”, which will be a great opportunity for Blues and Gunners fans from the USA to see their teams compete in a London derby.

Where else could Chelsea tour in the 2022 pre-season?

There are no further plans for Stamford Bridge pre-season travel as the club look for new owners before they can plan ahead.

The trip to the United States can only go ahead once the sale of the club is complete and Chelsea are free from UK government sanctions. Otherwise the tour will be canceled and all ticket sales will be refunded.

Where have Chelsea toured in recent seasons?

Chelsea have not traveled anywhere for the last two seasons, instead opting to stay at home and play friendlies in England due to the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last time the Blues were able to make pre-season tracks was 2019/20, where they toured Ireland, Japan, Austria and Germany playing various games in the run-up to the competitive season.

The last time they were on American soil was at the end of the 2018–19 calendar when they played a post-season friendly against New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium and won 3–0.
