At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Indian cyclists put up disappointing performances on the opening day with none of the competitors qualifying for the medal round

The cycling competition for the 2022 Commonwealth Games will take place from July 29th to August 7th at four different venues. Indian teams were unable to advance in the qualifying rounds of the men’s 4000m team pursuit, women’s team sprint and men’s team sprint on the opening day.

2022 Commonwealth Games Cycling Day 1 Results, Saturday Schedule, Date, Time and Venue

On the first day of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, the Indian cycling team did not advance beyond the qualifying rounds in any of the three events they competed in. Venkappa Kengalagutti, Dinesh Kumar, Anantha Narayanan and Vishvajeet Singh finished sixth in the men’s 4000m team pursuit Place.

Meanwhile, the team of Shushikala Agashe, Triyasha Paul and Mayuri Lute finished seventh in the Women’s Team Sprint Qualifier with a time of 51.433 seconds, more than three seconds behind the winning New Zealand team. With a time of 44.702 seconds, the combination of Y. Rojit Singh, L. Ronaldo Singh and E. David Beckham finished sixth in the men’s team sprint qualification.
