Delhi Metro Timetables on August 15, 2022, the Independence Day: That Delhi Metro Rail Corp (DMRC) has announced that Delhi Metro train services will continue to operate as normal on the occasion of August 15, 2022 – Independence Day 2022.

However, the parking facilities at the metro stations in Delhi remain closed. The park facilities will be closed to the public until August 15, Monday afternoon (2:00 p.m.) due to security measures in place for Independence Day.

“Parking facilities at Metro stations in Delhi will not be available from 6:00 am on August 14, 2022 to 2:00 pm on August 15, 2022 due to the security measures taken to mark the Independence Day. However, Metro train services will continue to operate,” the DMRC said in a tweet.

Delhi Traffic Advice

The Delhi Traffic Police have also issued a traffic alert for the free movement of vehicles to mark Independence Day in the national capital. The area around the Red Fort was cordoned off in anticipation of the Independence Day celebrations. No traffic is allowed in the area until 10 a.m.

These 8 roads remain closed to general traffic:

1. Netaji Subhash Marg from Delhi Gate to Chatta Rail.

2. Lothian Road from GPO Delhi to Chatta Rail.

3.SP Mukherjee Marg by HC Sen Marg to Yamuna Bazar Chowk.

4. Chandni Chowk Road from Fountain Chowk to Red Fort.

5. Nishad Raj Marg from Ring Road to Netaji Subhash Marg.

6. Esplanade Road and its connecting road to Netaji Subhash Marg.

7. Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT.

8. ISBT Outer Ring Road to IP Overpass – Salimgarh Bypass.

Independence Day: Roads closed in Delhi

Buses going to Kauria Pul/Red Fort/Old Delhi Railway Station pass over the ISBT (Yudhistir Setu) Bridge and terminate at Boulevard Road near the Mori Gate U-Turn, the guide said.

All buses terminating at Old Delhi Station, Red Fort, Bhai Mati Dass Chowk, Mori Gate, ISBT, Pragati Maidan and Ambedkar Stadium Terminal are recommended to terminate opposite Turkman Gate Asaf Ali Road instead.

Buses from South Delhi bound for Red Fort, Old Delhi Railway Station, Bhai Mati Dass Chowk (Fountain) will be diverted via the NH-24 Ring Road, Marginal Bandh (Pushta) Road and the new ISBT Bridge, terminating on Boulevard Road . added the advice.
