Emmerdale is facing a schedule change for Britain’s Got Talent week

Emmerdale Fans can expect a schedule change later this month as both ITV soaps make way Britain’s Got Talent.

The long-running show has been airing in a new timeslot since March, when it was permanently moved from 7pm to 7.30pm due to ITV’s extension of the evening news.

Later this month the schedule changes again for just one week as the Britain’s Got Talent Live semifinal shows return.

About the week starting Monday, May 30th, Emmerdale returns to the earlier time window of 19 o’clock.

A nocturnal visit follows Coronation Street at 7.30 p.m. and two hours Britain’s Got Talent show at 8 p.m.

Not having the hour-long Thursday edition as usual means we’ll be getting 30 minutes less action from the Dales this week.

A number of the show’s ongoing storylines – including Faith Dingle’s cancer, Leyla Cavanagh’s drug mystery and Charity Dingle’s struggles with her son Noah – will take center stage throughout the week.

In the meantime, corrie is broadcast across every weekday BGT Week full of episodes as Imran Habeeb and Abi Webster’s ongoing custody battle comes to a head.

John Whiston, MD Continuing Drama and Head of ITV North, said recently: “The deaf are really coming home to sleep for some of them corrie‘s favorite characters in this fantastic week of edge-of-your-seat drama.

“Secrets are revealed, truths hurt and life is well and truly turned upside down as Imran’s efforts to take baby Alfie away from Abi are uncovered. Whether your sympathies are with Abi, with Toyah or with Imran, this is not a week to be missed.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
