Final Airbender movies are given tentative release windows

Release window for the three upcoming animated films set in the universe of Avatar: The Last Airbender have reportedly surfaced.

Nickelodeon Animation recently announced that a trilogy of Avatar: The Last Airbender Feature films were in the works. The latest news about plans for the films has been shared from the unofficial website Avatar News, emphasizing that while the reports are from reliable sources, release dates are subject to frequent change and no authorized announcement has yet been made. However, the films are currently scheduled for release in 2024, 2025 and 2026 respectively.

The first of the three films reportedly focuses on Avatar Kyoshi, a character frequently referenced in the original Avatar: The Last Airbender Series that lived long before its setting though, meaning Kyoshi’s film will likely be a prequel. The second of the upcoming films, tentatively set to release a year after the first, will spotlight the character Zuko Avatar News‘ previous report.
