As the release of Genshin Impact version 3.0 approaches, developer HoYoverse announces some important changes to the game’s update schedule.
Genshin Impact continues to evolve as a regularly updated open-world role-playing game, with HoYoverse making some changes to its development efforts on the game. As Genshin Impact As version 3.0 approaches, HoYoverse adopts a new schedule with major changes that include the release of future updates.
Any version of Genshin Impact brings new events and stories to explore with a growing cast of characters. The 3.0 update follows the framework of past updates such as Genshin Impact Version 2.0, which introduced the highly anticipated Inazuma region. The fourth nation of Teyvat, Sumeru, makes its long-awaited debut in version 3.0, and players will encounter characters attuned to the element of Dendro. Ahead of the launch of the major update, HoYoverse is delaying its update schedule for Genshin Impact.
HoYoverse has announced its new update schedule for Genshin Impactrevealed the planned release dates and version duration for versions 3.0 to 3.3. Genshin Impact Versions 3.0 through 3.2 will each take approximately five weeks instead of the traditional six weeks. The HoYoverse development team will adjust its content plan accordingly without reducing gameplay content in each update. Additionally the Genshin Impact The Battle Pass will be adjusted to accommodate the new five-week duration. Players can level up the Battle Pass by earning 900 EXP for each BP level in Genshin Impact versions 3.0 to 3.2.
Genshin Impact Version 3.0 will be released on August 24th, followed by the release of version 3.1 on September 28th and the release of version 3.2 on November 2nd. Genshin Impact Version 3.3 is scheduled to be released on December 7th and the update schedule is expected to return to the standard six-week duration. In addition, the EXP required to level the Battle Pass is expected to be reset to 1,000 EXP per level. Release dates for versions 3.0 to 3.3 are subject to change.
Genshin Impact Version duration changes have been rumored for weeks as players waited for news about version 3.0. Although the duration will be shortened to five weeks, according to HoYoverse, players will still be able to experience the same amount of content as originally planned. The developer assures fans that content will not be cut in favor of a shorter update duration.
HoYoverse is likely to release content faster to make up for the lag Genshin Impact Version 2.7. However, HoYoverse needs to watch out for potential FOMO (fear of missing out) within the Genshin Impact community. A shorter duration brings with it the possibility of some players missing limited-time events, which could lead to controversy.
Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. A version for Nintendo Switch is in development with no confirmed release date.
