The New York Rangers will play the Carolina Hurricanes in Round 2 of the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs beginning with Game 1 at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC on Wednesday, May 18 (5/18/2022).
Game 1 of the series will air at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN, as are Games 2-4, with Games 5-7 currently TBD. It can be streamed live on fuboTV, Sling and other live TV services. Full schedule below.
After falling 3-1 early in their series in Round 1, the Rangers rallied three straight games to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 7. It looked like the series would head to Pittsburgh on Sunday, but after falling 3-2 down at the end of the second period, Mika Zibanejad equalized in the third period, forcing the game into overtime where Artemi Panarin one scored another goal to win the game.

The Hurricanes also went against the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of their series. Carolina went 2-0 up, but Boston equalized again, putting things on the ball. In Game 7, Carolina took a 2-goal lead that Boston couldn’t recover from, winning the game 3-2.
The Hurricanes are trying to keep PNC Arena friendly ahead of the first two games by banning ticket sales outside of North and South Carolina and parts of Virginia with a “restricted sales territory” policy. Of course, there’s still the secondary market for any Rangers fans who might be planning a takeover. New York hasn’t implemented similar restrictions and has already sold out Games 3, 4 and 6 at Madison Square Garden, according to CBS Sports.
