India Women’s Tour of Sri Lanka 2022– Indian women’s cricket team led by the captain Harmanpreet Kaur will begin her campaign against Sri Lanka on Thursday. Both teams will play three T20Is and three ODIs. The tour kicks off with the first T20I in Dambulla, Sri Lanka on Thursday 23rd June.

Following the retirement of Indian W skipper Mithali Raj, viewers will experience a fresh start under new Allformat skipper Harmanpreet Kaur. The host team is led by veteran batsman Chamari Athapaththu.

Harmanpreet Kaur is now India’s full-time captain and Smriti Mandhana becomes her deputy.

Legend Mithali Raj retired from international cricket earlier this month. India women tour of Sri Lanka will be India’s first game, marking the beginning of the post-Mithali Raj era. India have also rested veteran pacesetter and former captain Jhulan Goswami.

The T20Is will compete at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and also at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in eight months time.
