Iowa State Wrestling Releases Full 2022-23 Schedule –

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State Wrestling Coach Kevin dresser announced Thursday the 2022-23 schedule, which includes home duals against Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Illinois.

“We’re bringing some really high-quality teams to Hilton and we’re going to challenge our guys with some tough duels on the road,” Dresser said. “I think this schedule will prepare us well for the postseason.”

The state of Iowa kicks off the season on November 5 with the opening Battle of River City, taking place in Jacksonville, Florida. The Cyclones will see Little Rock, Campbell and Wisconsin at the event.

Eight home dates are scheduled this year when the ISU California Baptist (Nov. 12), Wyoming (Jan. 7), Arizona State (Jan. 8), Oklahoma (Jan. 27), Oklahoma State ( Jan. 29) and Illinois welcomes (Feb. 12) to the Hilton Coliseum. Iowa State will also host two open tournaments this season, the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open (November 26) and the Last Chance Open (February 19).

For the second year in a row, ISU will return to Humboldt, Iowa, home of Coach Dresser, for a neutral duel with Grand View (November 20).

This year’s edition of the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Dual will be held on December 4th in Iowa City.

Iowa State will make its debut at the Collegiate Duals (December 19-20), which has moved to New Orleans this season from Niceville, Fla. The Cyclones then return to the Southern Scuffle (January 1-2) for the first time since 2019-20.

The ISU’s only away duals in January will be held in the Utah Valley on January 14. The Cyclones will be challenged on the streets towards the end of the season, with four of their last five duels coming in West Virginia (February 3), Pittsburgh (February 4), UNI (February 10) and Missouri (February 16) .

The 2023 Big 12 Championship (March 4-5) and the NCAA Championships (March 16-18) will both be held at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla.
