The 2022/23 League Two season gets underway on Saturday 30 July when Stockport County marks the return of the Football League at home in Barrow as promotion rivals Salford City and Mansfield Town clash in a delicious opening day.
National League champions Stockport, one of the favorites for back-to-back promotion, stage their first game in the second division in 11 years against Pete Wild’s Barrow.
Meanwhile, under the management of Neil Wood, Salford are visited by last season’s playoff finalists Mansfield as they both seek to reach League One this season.
Grimsby Town, winners of the National League play-off final, travel to Leyton Orient where promotion hopefuls Bradford City welcome newly relegated Doncaster Rovers to Valley Parade.
AFC Wimbledon and Gillingham meet on opening day after both returning from League One, while Crewe, who finished bottom, travel to Rochdale.
Unlike the Championship, League One and League Two will continue as scheduled throughout the Winter World Cup, although matches may be rescheduled depending on player participation in the tournament. The season ends on Saturday 6th May with the play-off final taking place on Saturday 27th May at Wembley Stadium.
