Liverpool and Manchester United meet in a lucrative friendly for the first time since 2018, with the glamor clash set to take place on July 12 in the Bangkok Century Cup at Bangkok’s Rajamangala Stadium.

In their last friendly four years ago, the Reds won their bitter International Champions Cup rivals 4-1 thanks to goals from Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge, Sheyi Ojo and Xherdan Shaqiri.

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Three days later, J├╝rgen Klopp’s men travel to Singapore to take on English Premier League club Crystal Palace in the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy.

This is a great opportunity for fans in the Far East to see two Premier League heavyweights square off, with a large contingent of Liverpool fans already in Singapore.

Where else could Liverpool tour in the 2022 pre-season?

Liverpool are expected to add some pre-season games somewhere in mainland Europe to their schedule as they intensify their preparations ahead of the start of the 2022/23 Premier League season.

More information on possible warm-up game targets for Jurgen Klopp’s men will be available in due course.

Where have Liverpool toured in recent seasons?

Liverpool have not progressed far for pre-season in recent seasons due to previous tough legislation related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021, the Reds began a training camp in Austria and then France before returning to play their remaining friendlies at Anfield. They followed a similar path last year, playing two games in Austria before ending in a 7-2 win over Blackpool on the Merseyside pitch.

To find out when Liverpool last traveled to another continent for pre-season, you’d have to go back to the summer of 2019. Klopp’s men started out in England with friendlies against Tranmere Rovers and Bradford City before heading to the United States to take on Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon.

They then made their way north to Scotland to take on Napoli at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh before ending their tour at Anfield when they swept aside Blackburn Rovers 6-0.

The last time Liverpool visited Asia for pre-season was in 2017 when they won the 2017 Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong.
