Loveland’s MetroLux Theaters Summer Film Series begins Tuesday

Metro Summer Kids Movies returns Tuesday, June 7th and runs through Thursday, August 11th at the MetroLux 14 Theaters in Centerra and the MetroLux Dine-In Theaters at the Foundry in Loveland.

The series will feature a new film each week in each of the theaters. The films will be shown at the MetroLux 14 Theaters in Centerra every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 am and at the MetroLux Dine-In Theaters in downtown Loveland every Wednesday at 2:00 pm.

Moviegoers of all ages can enjoy a movie on the big screen for just $2 per ticket or a special kids’ package for $10 per ticket.

“This family-friendly program brings films for all ages back to the theater and offers our youngest guests and their families a fun way to spend their summer seeing their favorite films on the big screen,” said David Corwin, President of The Metropolitan Theaters Company.

Movies scheduled at the MetroLux 14 theaters in Centerra are:

  • June 7th and 9th: “Madagascar”
  • June 14 and 16: ‚ÄúDisgusting
  • June 21 & 23: “Megamind”
  • June 28th and 30th: “Singing”
  • July 5th and 7th: “The Croods”
  • July 12th and 14th: “Kung Fu Panda”
  • July 19 & 21: “Trolls: World Tour”
  • July 26 and 28: “The Prince of Egypt”
  • August 2 & 4: “How to Train Your Dragon”
  • August 8th and 11th: “Monsters vs. Aliens”

The film schedule for the MetroLux Dine-In Theaters is:

  • June 8: “Rise of the Guardians”
  • June 15: “Captain Underpants”
  • June 22: “The Secret Lives of Pets”
  • June 29: “The Boss Baby”
  • July 6: “Chicken Run”
  • July 13: “Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Hare”
  • July 20: “Home”
  • July 27: “Hotel Transylvania”
  • 3 Aug: “Goosebumps”
  • 10 Aug: “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”
Metropolitan Theaters announced Tuesday that it plans to reopen the MetroLux 14 Theaters in Centerra on Thursday.  The company's MetroLux Dine-In theaters in downtown Loveland reopened June 17.  Both theaters have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to the summer film series, families can look forward to the following new releases:

  • June 17: “Light Year”
  • July 1: “The Rise of Gru”
  • July 8: “Thor: Love and Thunder”
  • July 15: “Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank”
  • July 29: “DC League of Super Pets”

Ticket prices for new releases are $8.75 for guests ages 13-59, $8.25 for seniors 60 and older, and $8.25 for children ages 2-12.

MetroLux 14 Theaters at Centerra is at 6085 Sky Pond Drive and MetroLux Dine-In Theaters at the Foundry is at 285 E. 3rd St.

Both locations offer free parking, reserved seating, disabled access, expanded food and beverage menus and in-stadium seating.
