Movies on Deck announces summer 2022 lineup

MUSKEGON, Mich. – The USS LST 393 Veterans Museum has announced the 2022 Movies on Deck program. Movies start right after sunset around 10pm (9:30pm in August).

The films are shown on the screen of the LST 393 on the upper deck. Although guests have free entry, donations are welcome. Donations will be used to support the ship’s restoration and the Veterans Museum. Popcorn, soda, and snacks can be purchased by guests. It is also recommended that guests bring their own chairs.

The first film shown will be 1951 Flying leather neck on the 17th of June. The film follows the United States Marine Corps aviators during World War II. It stars John Wayne and Robert Ryan and is directed by Nicholas Ray. The next film shown will be in 2008 iron man. The film stars Robert Downy Jr. as Iron Man/Tony Stark, Terrence Howard as James Rhodes, Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. Directed by Jon Favreau, who also played Happy Hogan, the film marked the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Downy would go on to play the character in two sequels, four avenger Movies, 2016 Captain America: Civil Warand 2017 Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The third film to be screened is Robert Zemeckis’ 1988 film Who tricked Roger Rabbit? The live-action/animated film follows private investigator Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) as he must prove the innocence of cartoon star Roger Rabbit (Charles Fleischer) after he is framed for the murder of Acme Corporation owner Marvin Acme (Stubby Kaye). becomes. The film also stars Christopher Lloyd and Joanna Cassidy. Who tricked Roger Rabbit? is credited with helping usher in the modern age of American animation. The film also stars Mia Sara and Alan Ruck and was written and directed by John Hughes.
