Oregon officially announces gameday color plan for soccer

Early Friday morning, the Oregon Athletic Department officially announced the game day color plan for Oregon fans.

The color map shows what color Duck fans should wear each week if they want to match what the Ducks wear on the field.

Here’s a breakdown of the schedule with the color to wear:

  • September 3 vs. Georgia – wear green
  • September 10 vs. East Washington – Wear black
  • September 17 vs. BYU – Wear yellow
  • September 24th @ Washington State – Wear white
  • October 1 vs. Stanford – Wear green
  • October 8th @ Arizona – Wearing white
  • October 22 vs. UCLA – Wear pink
  • October 29th @ California – Wear green
  • November 5th @ Colorado – Wear green
  • November 12 vs. Washington – Wear yellow
  • Nov. 19 vs. Utah – Wear green
  • November 26 @ Oregon State – Wear yellow

Although the 2022 kits haven’t been released to the public yet, a few colors in the schedule are worth mentioning. Oregon debuted the “eggshell” jerseys against UCLA last year, and this year the suggestion is to wear pink when the Ducks host the Bruins. The game will be launched in October, which is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Could we see Oregon bring back the black uniforms with pink accents when they debuted against Arizona in 2014?

Oregon also suggests wearing white to away games against Washington State and Arizona, indicating that the “Stormtrooper” tradition could continue underneath Dan Lanning. The Ducks will appear to have another “blackout” game against Eastern Washington after debuting the black jerseys in a night game against Cal last season. The official time for the September 10 matchup is 5:30pm PST.

For the past several years, Oregon has officially unveiled its jerseys for the upcoming season around the start of fall camp. Oregon’s fall camp begins today, Friday, August 5, with first practice scheduled for this afternoon.
