Out of desperation, Democrats are resurrecting the “insurgency” theater

This week, US gasoline prices averaged $5.00 per gallon, an all-time record. Officially, consumer price inflation reached 8.6 percent last month compared to last May. That’s a four-decade high. In reality, however, inflation is much higher, as anyone working for a living can attest.

On the external front, the US is closer to nuclear war with Russia than it has been since the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Biden administration’s policies appear to be pushing Ukraine to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian. Even the mainstream media is now desperate to correct its false “Ukraine is winning” narrative.

The latest polls give President Biden a record-low approval rating, and Congressional Democrats expect a real defeat in the midterm elections in just under six months. With 83 percent of people polled by ABC News/Ipsos this month citing the economy as an extremely or very important issue in deciding how they will vote in November, it could be time for a Democrat-controlled House of Representatives and a… Democrat-controlled Senate running out.

With so much going wrong in areas of most concern to Americans, Democrats have for some reason decided that the ticket to November electoral success is to open up the Insurrection Theater in the form of new hearings on the events of September 6th January 2021 to bring back .

The January 6 House Committee even hired former ABC News President James Goldston to do a program on this month’s prime-time hearings. That makes sense, because like all mainstream media productions, these hearings had nothing to do with trying to discover the truth behind the events of January 6th, everything to do with trying to stir up more partisan anger and fear.

What we won’t see at the hearings is the 14,000 unreleased hours of surveillance. The little we’ve seen so far has raised more questions than answers about the official account of events. Nor will we learn anything about how many of the “insurgents” were actually state spies or even provocateurs. And we certainly won’t get any answers as to why the police actually opened the doors and invited people in.

Perhaps that’s because the January 6th Committee is a star chamber, with the only Republicans — the deeply unpopular Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger — handpicked by Nancy Pelosi.

As we’ve seen over the last two years of Covid lies and deceit, in politics, stirring up fear and anger can be very effective, and both parties are guilty. But this time it doesn’t seem to work. Although all major networks except Fox News preempted their prime-time programs to broadcast the hearings live, Americans did not flock to the production.

While lower-tier MSNBC and CNN saw viewership surges, the Democratic Party’s production barely took US viewership by storm. As reported by The Daily Caller, “CBS News’ ‘Capitol Assault Hearings’ had a total viewership of 3.36 million and 780,000 in the 25-54 age group, according to the TV series finale.”

Democrats bet selling fear and anger is a win for November. While Republicans bear much of the blame for the current economic crisis, pretending it’s all Democrats’ fault is likely to yield big wins.

Meanwhile, no one wants to talk at all about how the Fed, with the participation of Congress, is leading us into economic disaster.
