shamsheraShamshera is slated to hit theaters on July 22, 2022.

Ranbir Kapoor hasn’t appeared on the big screen since Sanju 2018, but his schedule is packed this year. Shortly after Brahmastra, RK will be seen in Shamshera alongside Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. A poster featuring his new look from the film has been making the rounds on social media and director Karan Malhotra has confirmed it is not a fake poster.

Previously, the audience had seen part of Ranbir’s face. However, the new poster shows Ranbir with a unkempt beard and shaggy, flowing hair. He holds a huge battle ax in his hands.

Ranbir’s fans dropped fire and heart eye emojis in comments. Others wanted to know the trailer release date.

One commented: “Another blockbuster movie.” Another wrote: “Rk is back 🔥” “This looks so cool and so different I’m so excited 😭😭😭,” wrote another fan.

Speaking about the poster leak, Karan said in a statement: “

We constantly plan our lives to land things at the perfect time, but in doing so we forget that the universe is always on time. Incidents like these are a true example of that! I’m just happy that people and fans of Ranbir Kapoor love his look and the Shamshera poster.”

“We were aiming to launch our campaign mid-next week, but it looks like fans can’t wait for us to start. I am not blaming you. You’ve waited too long. Ranbir returns to theaters after 4 years and it’s difficult to contain the excitement. I’m just glad the reactions are great,” he added.

Karan has previously directed Agneepath with Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor and Brothers with Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra.
