Two-time Major winners Collin Morikawa and Joel Dahmen are tied at 5 under on the 36-hole lead, but there are 13 golfers within three shots. Defending champion Jon Rahm and 2011 champion Rory McIlroy are in the 4-under group. Masters winner and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler leads the group at 3 under.

Notable names not to play over the weekend include Phil Mickelson, who missed the cut at +11 to cap a disastrous week at the US Open.
