Super Hero Hypes releases with new promo

Dragon Ball Super: Superhero finally started its run in Japanese theaters after the end of the anime franchise four long years ago, and Dragon Ball great celebrate the new addition with a special new promo teasing all the high-octane action! Fans in international territories outside of Japan will have to wait until later in the summer to see the new film, but fans in Japan are flocking to theaters as this marks the anime’s first proper sequel in quite some time. Not only that, it’s also the first fully CG-animated project.

Dragon Ball Super: Superhero has many interesting hooks that will keep fans hooked to the cinema, and the biggest one is the tease that this time Gohan and Piccolo would be the focus of the fight to defend Earth while Goku and Vegeta are gone. That’s what’s teased in the latest promo for the film cheering its release in Japan, and fans can expect more of the touted Gohan and Piccolo moments to come. The new promo reveals some of the footage we’ve seen in the weeks leading up to the release of the new feature film, but expands on it with select new looks at Gohan and Piccolo in the heat of the moment. But it’s clear Toei Animation is holding off for as long as possible, with the international launch set to come later this summer and potentially spoiling many fans.

Dragon Ball Super: Superhero is now showing in theaters across Japan but will be released in North America and other territories later this summer. With an original story, screenplay and character designs from original creator Akira Toriyama, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment are officially teasing Dragon Ball Super: Superhero as such: “The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals who continue their spirit have created the ultimate androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two androids call themselves “superheroes”. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the goal of the New Red Ribbon Army? With danger looming, it’s time to wake up, Superhero!”
