There is a new comedy club in town and it has a busy schedule of fun people who are well known locally and nationally.
Detroit House of Comedy – part of a group of comedy venues across North America – made its debut this past weekend with a showcase of local stand-ups. Over the next few weeks, the 300-seat club at the Hockeytown Cafe at 2301 Woodward will host stand-up comedian Hans Kim, Detroit’s own Jeff Horste and former Saturday Night Live player Sasheer Zamata.
The theater is open to anyone over the age of 16 and pre-purchasing tickets is recommended. Spectators must be checked in at least 15 minutes prior to the performance or their tickets may be subject to resale, according to the venue’s website.
