Is it autumn already? ABC, CBS, and NBC have all announced their TV lineups for the 2022 season — and there are plenty of well-known series for fans to dig into.
After a spate of cancellations from both network and streaming sites in March, April and May, TV lovers got some good news about the next season of shows. NBC, for example, announced on Monday, April 16
constant drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will be back Thursday night for its 24th season. That Dick Wolf series is supplemented by the law & order revival and Christopher Meloni-LED Law & Order: Organized Crime in the same night.
“It’s very comforting to know absolutely what the legacy will look like going forward,” said Wolf, 75 diversity in an interview by his TV empire published on Wednesday, May 18. “This company has produced and has clear ownership [stakes] in the longest-running dramas in television history [Law & Order: SVU is wrapping up Season 23]. I don’t think anyone will ever catch us. And it’s not over yet.”
Wolf cemented himself as one of the biggest names in television production during the 2021-2022 season after nine of his broadcast series were scheduled on NBC and CBS. From May, all nine series, including the FBI Franchise, Shows One Chicago and law & order Hits, were recorded for the 2022-2023 season.
“It’s a constant exploration of possibility,” Wolf told the outlet of his intertwined series. “There are 56 actors under contract. The concept is that there are nine shows, and anyone who is on one of the nine shows can appear on the other eight, even on different networks. It’s pretty cool.”
While Wolf’s shows rule Wednesday and Thursday nights on NBC and may impact CBS’s Tuesday lineup, they’re not the only series returning this fall. ABC previously announced the return of Grey’s anatomyentering its 19th season later this year.
The network is also making a big shift when it comes to theirs Bachelor Franchise. Bachelors in paradisewhich normally airs in the summer, has earned coveted Monday and Tuesday night slots for ABC as of the fall.
The postponement came after Season 19 of The Bachelorette – the two stars Gaby Windy and Rachel Recchia – should be premiered in July. That Bachelor was also renewed for Season 27, which will be part of the network’s midseason rollout.
