The Netflix docu-series Untold hit our screens last year and explored some of the biggest stories in esports, from the brawl between the Indiana Pacers and the Detroit Pistons to Caitlyn Jenner reflecting on her Olympic career.
Now the hit Netflix series is back with a brand new collection of little-known sporting tales, sporting scandals and triumphant tales.
Opening with the release of The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist, the four-part explores how American football player Manti Te’o was hooked during his meteoric rise to fame and why his life was turned upside down when the scam was exposed.

When will new episodes of Untold Volume 2 be available on Netflix?
The second volume of the sports documentaries Untold will be released over the course of four weeks, with a new film appearing on Netflix every Tuesday.
There are four films in Untold Volume 2, beginning with Untold: The Girlfriend Who Didn’t Exist – the story of how American football star Manti Te’o’s online relationship threatened to ruin his future.

What is Untold about?
This multi-directed four-part docuseries focuses on compelling stories yet to be explored from the world of sport.
Untold: The Friend Who Didn’t Exist
This episode explores the rise of athlete Manti Te’o in the university soccer scene, which coincided with the start of an online relationship between the player and Stanford University student Lennay Kekua, who was exposed by the media as catfish. This Untold chapter features interviews with Te’o and Ronaiah ‘Naya’ Tuiasosopo, the person behind the online identity, and tells the incredible story behind the scam.
Untold: The Rise and Fall of AND1
The Rise and Fall of AND1 tells the story of how footwear company AND1 reinvented the billion-dollar basketball industry after starting out on the playgrounds of New York City, with the documentary speaking to AND1 co-founders as well as streetball legends.
Untold: Operation Flagrant Foul
Fifteen years later, after being investigated for gambling at his own games in 2007, disgraced NBA umpire Tim Donaghy opens up about his involvement in the betting scandal, along with Tommy Martino, Jimmy “The Sheep” Battista and FBI agent Phil Scala and others.
Untold: The Race of the Century
The final part of Untold Volume 2, The Race of the Century, examines the 1983 America’s Cup sailing competition in which a group of Australian misfits dethroned the New York Yacht Club and broke the longest winning streak in history.
