USFL Schedule Week 6: What football games are happening today? TV channels, times, scores

The new USFL is in the middle of its inaugural season. When Week 6 comes around, the league’s eight teams will focus on making post-season runs. The Birmingham Stallions will have serious dreams of an unbeaten season.

The Stallions are the only undefeated team in the USFL at 5-0. They win a 30-17 win over the Philadelphia Stars. The South Division continues to have a better overall record than the North, but last week the North closed the gap a bit with a 2-2 record in interdivision play.

Week 5 also saw the USFL’s last winless team, the Pittsburgh Maulers, earn their first win. They won against the Houston Gamblers in dramatic fashion when Vad Lee completed a touchdown pass to Bailey Gaither after time was up.

There is no Friday night game in the USFL this week, so all four games will be played on Saturday and Sunday. Here’s everything you need to know about Week 6 of the USFL season:

Saturday USFL Games TV Channel, Live Stream

Here’s how to watch the two USFL games that will be played on Saturday.

Stars vs Bandits

This is a critical game for both teams. They are in a heated race for second place in their respective divisions. An interdivisional win could greatly improve both teams’ playoff chances.

Philadelphia took on the undefeated Stallions in the first half last week before fading in the second while Tampa Bay relied on two touchdown plays from quarterback Jordan Ta’amu and running back Juwan Washington to defeat Michigan. Both attacks prefer to throw the ball, so Ta’amu and Stars QB Case Cookus could combine for plenty of yards in this matchup.

Stallions versus panthers

The Stallions were the best second-half team in the USFL. That’s a big reason they’ve beaten their opponents by more than one touchdown per game (7.4 points). Both Alex McGough and J’Mar Smith found success as quarterbacks.

The Panthers are 1-4 but have conceded just 80 points this season, with the Generals the fewest in the USFL. Their four losses totaled 17 points. Shea Patterson threw for 304 yards last week, so maybe her offense is finally waking up.

Sunday USFL Games TV Channels, Live Streams

Here’s how to watch the two USFL games played on Sunday.

Breaker against Mauler

The Breakers have one of the best passing offenses in the USFL, led by Kyle Sloter, and solid defense. But sales have gotten them into trouble in recent weeks. Sloter threw two more interceptions in the loss to the Generals last week.

Pittsburgh has the fewest points in the USFL (60), but they found something with Vad Lee, who played quarterback last week. The Breakers were favored by more than one touchdown midweek, but don’t be surprised if Pittsburgh’s defense helps keep the game tight.

Generals vs Players

The Generals have won four games in a row and seem to have figured out their identities. They have an elite running game led by Trey Williams and Darius Victor, while quarterback DeAndre Johnson has proven effective as both a runner and passer. New Jersey’s defense is one of the best in the USFL.

The Gamblers are similar in composition to the Generals, but their record is reversed in part because quarterback Clayton Thorson is struggling with turnovers. Houston will need him to be better and Mark Thompson needs to run well.
