Women’s Hockey World Championship 2022: India Squad Schedule, Results, Scoreboard, TV Channel and Live Streaming Info

The 15th edition of the Women’s Ice Hockey World Championship will feature 16 teams divided into 4 pools of 4 teams. In the pool stage, a team competes against the other three from their respective pools in individual round-robin matches, with pool winners going straight to the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, the next two ranked teams from each pool advance to the cross-overs, where a knockout match decides the remaining four quarterfinalists. The fourth-placed team from each pool then meets the losers of the place-scoring cross-overs.

In the groups, India were drawn in Group B alongside England, New Zealand and China, while record champions and co-hosts Netherlands were drawn in Group A with former champions Germany, Ireland and Chile.

Other co-hosts Spain are drawn in Group C alongside two-time champions Argentina, South Korea and Canada, while Group D consists of two-time champions Australia, Belgium, Japan and South Africa.

Pool C and Pool D will play their games at Estadi Olimpic de Terrassa in Terrassa, Spain, while Pool A and Pool B will play their games at Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands.

There will be 44 games in total, including classification, cross-overs and knockout rounds. The semifinals, third place match and finals will be held in Terrassa.

India, who finished fourth in the inaugural 1974 edition, will be looking to improve on their all-time best result at the flagship event. In the absence of Rani Rampal, goalkeeper Savita Punia will lead the 20-man India squad.
